What is this test?
The rapid celiac disease test detects celiac disease-related antibodies (e.g., anti-tissue transglutaminase, tTG) in the blood. It is used in primary care and gastroenterology as an aid when gluten intolerance due to celiac disease is suspected. A positive result must be confirmed by laboratory tests and, if necessary, an intestinal biopsy.
