What is this test?
The combination test detects antibodies against SARS-CoV-2 (COVID-19) and Mycoplasma pneumoniae in the blood. It helps evaluate whether a patient has recently had or currently has one of these respiratory infections, particularly in cases of prolonged cough or atypical pneumonia. Antigen tests are more suitable for detecting an acute infection.
