The RSV rapid test quickly detects respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) in nasal swabs or aspirates and helps diagnose RSV infections. RSV is most common in young children, causing severe respiratory illnesses, but adults often feel they have only cold symptoms. The test results are available within 15 minutes and are useful for detecting RSV, which is easily spread through sneezing, coughing and contaminated surfaces.
