What is this test?
The toxoplasmosis IgG/IgM test detects antibodies against Toxoplasma gondii in the blood. IgM may indicate a recent infection, while IgG indicates a past infection and immunity. The test is used in pregnancy care and planning, as a primary infection during pregnancy can harm the fetus.
