The purpose of the tuberculosis detection cassette (from blood) is to rapidly and qualitatively detect antibodies against the causative agent of tuberculosis, Mycobacterium tuberculosis, in a human blood sample. It is an immunochromatographic test that indicates whether the body's immune system has been exposed to the TB bacterium by showing the presence of IgG, IgM and IgA antibodies. This test helps diagnose both active and latent forms of TB infection, especially when the disease is suspected or prophylaxis is needed.
