What is this test?
The CA125 test detects cancer antigen 125 in the blood, a marker most commonly associated with ovarian cancer. It is used to monitor treatment response and recurrence; it is not suitable for screening because CA125 can also be elevated due to endometriosis, menstruation, pregnancy, or inflammation.
