The problem

Viral infections can cause fever, cough, tiredness, muscle and/or body aches, headaches, sore throat, difficulty breathing.

  1. Wash or disinfect your hands and dry them completely.
  2. Remove the foil from the top of the sample collection tube.
  3. Insert the tube into the tube rack or the opening at the back of the box.
  4. Remove the sampling swab from the packaging.
  5. Using the sterile swab provided in the kit, carefully insert the swab into one nostril.
  6. The tampon should be inserted up to 2-4 cm until there is resistance. Rotate the swab 5 times in a circular motion around the inner wall to collect mucus and cells. Using the same swab, repeat the process with the other swab to obtain a suitable sample from both nasal cavities.
  7. Pull the tampon out of the nasal cavity.
  8. The sample is now ready to be prepared using the extraction buffer contained in the test kit. Insert the swab into the collection tube up to the bottom, rotate and squeeze the swab 10 times while pressing the tip of the swab against the bottom and side of the collection tube.
  9. Leave the swab in the collection tube for 1 minute.
  10. Twist and squeeze the tube several times with your fingers on the outside of the tube to immerse the swab. Pull the swab out.
  11. Firmly attach the pipette tip to the tube. Mix thoroughly by swirling or swiping the bottom of the tube.
Influenza A/B antigen test

APPLICABLE:

  1. Influenza A positive:
    A positive result for the influenza A antigen test is obtained if one line appears in control area C,
    and the other line appears in the study area T1.
  2. Influenza B positive:
    A positive result for the influenza B antigen test is obtained if one line appears in control area C,
    and the other line appears in the study area T2.
  3. Influenza A+B positive:
    A positive result for the influenza A+B antigen test is obtained if one line appears in the control area
    C, a second line appears in the T1 test area and a third line appears in the T2 test area.

DENIED:

The result is negative if the line appears only in control area C.

Incorrect results may be obtained when the test is not carried out according to the specified instructions,
or when the test is used after its expiry date. Repeat testing is recommended

COVID-19/RSV antigen test

APPLICABLE:

  1. RSV positive:
    The RSV antigen test is positive if one line appears in control area C and
    the other line appears in the study area T1.
  2. COVID-19 positive:
    The COVID-19 virus antigen test is positive if one line appears in the control
    in area C and another line appears in area T2. If the COVID-19 test is positive,
    persons should not take any medically important decisions without first consulting
    doctor.
  3. COVID-19+RSV positive:
    The COVID-19+RSV antigen test is positive if one line appears
    in control area C, a second line appears in test area T1 and a third line appears in test area
    T2.

DENIED:

The result is negative if the line appears only in control area C.
